Students had an opportunity today to go to the library and check out a nonfiction book. By this Friday, they are to have completed reading the book. Then, they are to fill out their Main Idea Graphic Organizer with the book title, main idea, and three supporting details. Remember, the contract may be turned in early to check for accuracy and allow for items to be corrected before officially turning in on Friday! Your first activity for your Reading Contract is due tomorrow (Friday, September 18th). Please make sure your activity has substance and is completed on a separate sheet of paper to be turned in. Math: Complete the Review Sheet Language Arts: 1. Parent Sheet: Parents you have homework tonight. Please complete the sheet (front and back) letting us know more about your child. We are excited to read them! 2. Reading Contract: Tic Tac Toe One item is due completed by this Friday, September 18th. Students picked their item today in class and we signed off on it by putting the due date on it. Parents, feel free to encourage your child, but allow the work to be authentically theirs. *Note: If "Character Poster" is chosen, there is no need to put it on poster board. A piece of notebook paper will be wonderful! "Acrostic" is a Bonus and may be done in addition to any other activity. The activity is due this Friday, but may be turned in early to check for accuracy and allow for any necessary alterations prior to the due date. Thank you! |
